برنامه تخته گاز به قدری معروف است که نیاز به توضیح ندارد. همان طور که میدانید Jeremy Clarkson، James May ، Richard Hammond مجریا ن برنامه بهمراه که نقش آن را مایکل شوماخر قهرمان معروف چند دوره ماسبقات رانندگی ایفا میکند به شیوه ای متفاوت به معرفی و آزمایش ماشین های جدید می پردازند.
ساخت این برنامه زیبا از سال 2002 شروع شده است و همچنان ادامه دارد. فصل 18 تخته گاز در حال ساخت است.
